3-2 Milan Victory against Verona after an Amazing Comeback

This weekend in Serie A, AC Milan is battling Verona for a point. After falling behind by two goals in the first half, the Rossoneri came back to win 3-2.

The match between Milan and Verona takes place in the Italian League 2021/2022’s 8th week. The game took place early on Sunday morning, October 17th, 2021, in the San Siro.

GOAL! The fast Verona goal in the seventh minute caught the home squad off guard. Gianluca Caprari finished off a pass from Miguel Veloso for the game-winning goal.

The goal of Caprari was examined by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) to see if there was an offside infringement. The referee and VAR both agreed that Verona’s goal was legitimate. Therefore it was awarded the point. The score is 1-0 in favor of the guests.

PENALTY! From the penalty spot, Verona had a wonderful opportunity to extend their lead. Alessio Romagnoli threw Antonin Barak into the restricted box.

GOAL! The executor who stepped up, Antonin Barak, did an excellent job. Verona has a two-goal lead.

Milan is making a last-ditch effort to catch ahead in the first half. However, Verona’s lead of 2-0 remained unchanged until the break.

GOAL! After 14 minutes of play in the second half, Milan manages to break the stalemate. Olivier Giroud headed the ball into the Verona goal after Rafael Leao crossed the ball from the left side.

PENALTY! In the 74th minute, the home team was rewarded with 12 free kicks. Marco Davide Faraoni fouled Milan’s replacement, Samuel Castillejo, in the penalty area.

2-2! Milan’s penalty taker Franck Kessie used a low kick to fool goalie Lorenzo Montipo. The scoreboard now reads a solid 2-2.

3-2! Four minutes later, Milan came back to win. A mistake by Verona’s Koray Guenter in the penalty area resulted in his own goal.

Milan’s 1-0 victory over Verona was capped off by an own goal in the dying minutes. The home team emerged victorious in dramatic fashion, winning 3-2.

Milan now leads the Italian League with 22 points after this win. Verona, on the other hand, is down in 13th place with 8 points.
