Having a Fit and Healthy Lifestyle

We live in a fast-paced world where it’s easy to put our health and well-being on the back burner. We’re all too busy juggling family, friends, jobs, and social obligations to stop and care for ourselves. It’s understandable why so many of us are worn out and depleted. What small changes can we make to better our lot in life?

To quench your thirst, sip away.

The advice to drink more water is one you’ve likely heard a million times before, and you’ll probably listen to it again.
Consider this: Water makes about 72 percent of the human body’s weight. A 5% decrease in fluid volume results in a 25%-30% reduction in energy use. A decline in fluids of 15% results in death! Over half of the population isn’t working on all six cylinders before factors like bad air, bad diet, and stress take their toll. Currently, 66% of us aren’t drinking enough water. It won’t take long to fix this problem. For an immediate boost in energy, try drinking one glass of water every half-hour or 10-12 glasses of water each day.

Food that is alive and well – Loving life!

Heating food above 116°F loses a large portion of its nutritional value, which is a little-known fact. That’s a significant issue, given that the average American doesn’t consume nearly enough vegetables as it is. There are five servings of fresh veggies each day that are recommended by nutrition experts. Only a small percentage of the population is following such advice in practice.
Using a juicer to extract the nutrients from fresh vegetables is a terrific method to receive those nutrients without having to slave over a hot stove all day or eat raw celery sticks. Get yourself a decent juicer (some juicers expose veggies to heat caused by juicing friction, which breaks down key enzymes), some fresh vegetables, and drink your way to excellent health! It’s quicker (because no cooking is required), and it’s also handier. You may bring your juice to work with you and even pack some for the kids’ lunches.

Grass-like wheatgrass is particularly nutritious. It’s abundant in chlorophyll (often known as ‘plant blood,’ due to its resemblance to the molecules found in red blood cells) and contains over 100 essential nutrients for human health. Vitamins and minerals can also be found in fresh grains.

Energy Flow: Energy Coming In − Energy Leaving

For the majority of us, the word “exercise” conjures up images of sweaty gym rats. Indeed, working out doesn’t have to take a lot of time or be monotonous to be effective. There are a plethora of alternatives.
Weight rooms, aerobics programs, and even a hydro-circuit were formerly standard features in gyms. In addition to water aerobics and other new fitness alternatives, you can now take yoga, pilates, dance exercise, and step courses as well.
Even if you don’t have the time or money for a gym membership, you may use an exercise bike or walker to get your daily exercise while staying at home. The exercise bike in front of the television is a lifesaver for me. I pedal away while watching my favorite shows. For those of you who, like me, have health issues (such as chronic disease, injuries, or a poor level of fitness), here is some sound advice from my doctor:

Even if you’re physically well but also sick, doing even the smallest bit of exercise each day might feel like an uphill fight. Inactivity can contribute to greater energy loss, creating a vicious cycle in which getting out of bed becomes increasingly difficult.

Starting gently is a fantastic strategy for getting back into a regular exercise regimen. It may appear as if progress is being made at a glacial pace. Begin with walking/riding for 5 minutes a day for the first two weeks. Do not go over that time limit, even if you feel like you could go on and on. After two weeks, raise the time to seven minutes, then ten minutes, and finally twelve minutes… as long as you’re comfortable, keep up the progressive rise in your physical activity levels.

Even though it seems ridiculous, it actually works. In other words, your body is tricked into creating extra energy as a result of your actions. As a result of gradually increasing your workout duration, your body has no idea what’s going on. If you stick to this plan, you’ll soon be able to work out every day without feeling pushed beyond your boundaries.
That’s everything, for now, guys. You’ll be well on your way to living a healthy life if you can reorganize your schedule to allow for improved eating habits and exercise, and if you remember to drink a glass of water every half hour or so. Finally, don’t forget to spend some alone time. To reduce tension, you could try meditating. Instead of sitting for hours on end, set aside 5 minutes each day – even in the shower if that’s all you have for time out of your busy schedule – and catch up with your thoughts.

Last but not least, have fun! In fact, the more hysterically you laugh, the better. A seemingly insignificant gesture can have a profound effect on your mood.
